It’s a content marketing dream: working with a brand that comes with an established audience. More than 561,000 listeners tune in to listen to Kaya FM every day. The challenge: how can you entice the KayaFM listeners – the Afropolitans – to visit the website? How does the on-air strategy support this brand’s overall digital strategy?
Content Candy has worked closely the Kaya FM digital marketing team to develop a content strategy that complements this independent radio station’s programming.
Each month, we create and commission fresh, original, relevant and local monthly content that is hosted on the Kaya FM blog, and shared with through its many social channels. The content consists of interviews with the presenters, exclusive one-on-one’s with artists, and info-rich features that add something extra to topics being discussed on air. An added advantage is that we have access to the guests that take part in each presenter’s show – giving us unprecedented access to subject matter experts, celebs and interesting people in this Gauteng-based community.
